Our Trip Home From Sea World 8-1-09

The evening before we left, we found out that CJ was going to take a taxi ride early in the morning to the airport and fly back to Dallas to be at work that afternoon. We offered to take him to the airport... and to make a long story short, we just decided to take him all the way to Dallas. We had such a fun trip getting to visit! We stopped off at Aunt Betty's in Fort Worth and visited with them for about an hour. We surprised them and just popped in. They were very gracious and so sweet to the kids. They gave Martin a penny whistle, and Millie and Bella each a teddy bear. I have been wanting to stop by their house for a while now, and I was so grateful Stephen made the effort for my sake to see them. Once we got into Dallas, we picked up CJ's truck and he showed us where he worked at Costco. We said out good-byes, took a nap, and then headed south on I45. We met up with Dad and Mom and the kids as they were heading north on I45. August 1st is their anniversary, and we celebrated at DQ enjoying blizzards. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of anyone at DQ.
Here are all the kiddos reading books in the camper on our journey home.

I always wondered what was at the end of a rainbow...a pot of gold? Now I know what it is...my precious, sweet family. They are my pot of gold!
We saw a train with a whole bunch of box cars with the name HERZOG on it and I just had to get a picture.
Here is Papa with most of his kids. They were trying to watch Sense and Sensibility, but it didn't last long...didn't quite hold their interest...maybe in a few more years.
James was going to sleep at the end of the bed and I didn't want to disturb him for the picture.
