Over the past few years, Stephen and I have been doing a lot of learning about grass fed beef (and many other things that go along with that). We finally had an opportunity to take a steer that was "All Natural" "100% Grass Fed Beef" to the butcher. We found one that specializes in butchering grass fed beef and thought we would give them a try. It was around 3 1/2 hours away. We were able to pull him in mom and dad's little trailer behind the camper. By the time we got there and put shoes on to go out and watch, he was already unloaded, so I didn't get pictures of that. We did stop off at a park in the area and ate a picnic lunch and played, so here are those pics.
This is the steer we took to the butcher. He was 9 months old and we pulled him off his mama only 2 days before we hauled him off. His mama sure raised a good calf. We are guessing he weighed around 700 - 750 pounds.
