Here are a couple pictures from our Thanksgiving holidays.
We made an apple pie. The little designs on top are supposed to be apples. I didn't have a cookie cutter, so I designed them myself and they kinda look like pumpkins. Oh well :)
We also made sweet potato casserole with the marshmallows and pecans. It tasted more like a dessert than a side dish.
Some of my helpers licking the beaters.
Oh, yes, and one more helper.
Martin stirring the topping.
I baked them in a pretty little dish we got from our wedding.
We also made scalloped potatoes.
Here is the done pie.
Here we are at the farm.
Kevin and Millie relaxing.
Katherine, Mick, and James.
There's our big "Ham bone". That is our term of endearment for him.
After lunch, everyone just sits around and lets there food settle. The guys used to go outside and play football, but this year they didn't. I guess everyone is getting older.
Here are my men relaxing.
The kids played outside for a while.
There's Mick on the tricycle.
Elaina on her "haw-hee".
Sweet Bella Jane.
Shan and James sitting in the garage watching everyone play in the driveway.
The love of my life!
Later on that afternoon, we took a pasture walk with Mr. & Mrs. and Keith. Stephen has been learning so much and to hear him talk and explain things makes me so proud.
He was reading a favorite part out of one of the books he is reading.
Then we went down to the Herzog's to get some firewood for the bonfire for Shan and Paige's shower at our house the next day.
I think they look a lot alike.

You'll never be sorry for making a pictorial documentary of your young lives together. Later on the kids will enjoy helping you make captions, and like my big girl, they'll like taking the pictures too! Your apple pie looked scrumptious, wish I could have had a taste.....I bet they had to auction off the 8 pieces to the highest bidders!
