The Last of December 2009 and the Beginning of January 2010

I was going to just start posting in January instead of catching up for the rest of December, but once I saw the rest of the Dec. pictures, I decided otherwise. Here is the last December post...
Christmas at the farm. Keith and Stephen set up a volleyball net. We had such a fun time playing game after game. There was a good number of players as well, and that always makes it fun.
Papa Troy had a tree he needed help cutting down along his back fence line. Stephen, Keith and Kevin all jumped in and embraced the exciting, fun, and dangerous challenge.
Then Stephen cut down another not so dangerous tree with Keith's help.
James in the toy bin at Grannie's.
Auntie EM with 'Laina Girl.
Erin and Jerry were in town over the Christmas holidays and there was a small window of opportunity for us to get together. She drove out to Grannie Smith's and we had the best of times just getting to laugh, talk, see each other and enjoy being together again. It was such a joy getting to see her. Thank you dear for making the effort to come visit us.
Here's Erin....practicing for the future.
Mrs. Herzog snapped some fun pictures of Erin and I playing around. Martin wanted in on the fun too.
Charming- straight on- not the best.
That was the best one. It is amazing how a little tilt of the chin takes a few pounds off your face.
We made gingerbread houses this year for the first time. It was quite entertaining. Steph and Brian picked up the things we needed and everyone put them together at the farm one evening.
Papa accidentally put to much water in the icing mix and consequently made a double batch...there was more than enough to say the least!
Brian and Steph with their cute little cottage.
Here is the completed project with all the little taster helpers. Stephen used the left over icing and made a pond with it and decorated it with all the fun little candies.
Here we are during New Years celebrations...Stephen and I holding our 2 nephews. I have Ein (Josh and Sarah's 1st) and Stephen has Mick (Kat and Ryan's 1st).
Here are all the guys that were together on New Year's Day.
Bella Jane helping me fix a popcorn snack for the kids.
Mr. & Mrs. Herzog with Brian & Stephanie and their beautiful pre-light tree.
Mick found Martin's boots and spurs and went for a small stroll before he fell over.
Uncle Josh cracking pecans for the girls and putting everything he's got into it as you as you can see.
