Winter Picnic 2-8-10

It has been a little cloudy lately, and yes, sometimes rainy, and always chilly. We must catch the sun-shiny moments and capitalize on them when we get them. The morning started out sunny, and eventually got cloudy and then rainy. Stephen was at work this day, and the kids and I decided to enjoy the great outdoors while we could. I made beef and cheese quesadillas for lunch (a great finger food) and we ate them outside on the pile of logs Mr. Herzog brought home for us that Stephen has been working on splitting for our wood burning stove. The kids absolutely love picnics, and we eat outside often with anything from a sandwich, or apples and peanut butter, or smoothies, or crackers, or some other snack. It is great, that way when (notice I didn't say if) there is a mess, the dog or the water hose cleans it up. Here is a cute shot of all of our little ones enjoying their "Winter Picnic".
